Welcome back! Wednesday Preview Night was a blast, and Thursday was even more exciting. So many fun encounters, exclusives, and experiences. What are we waiting for? Let’s check out SDCC Con Stories 2024!
Lining up with Justinwordsmith
Lines, lines, lines! at SDCC, it’s part of life 🙂 And after a while it gets automatic to wait patiently for your turn. Glad I had my buddy Justinwordsmith to keep me company!

Comic-Con Exclusive Merch
Like Wednesday (Preview Night), there was so much more merch and good stuff to get at SDCC. I had to try my luck again, especially since Thursday is historically less busy than Friday to Sunday. Check out what I was able to get:

Custom Grogu Sketch from Agnes Garbowska
It’s always great to meet Agnes Garbowska at SDCC. Her on-the-spot custom water color sketches are so adorable and fun. This year I requested for a surfing Grogu! I was curious how she’d tackle the challenge, and she delivered it flawlessly. Check it out!

Celebrity Sighting: David Dastmalchian
I happened to pass by the Dark Horse booth and caught David Dasmalchian (The Dark Knight, Ant-Man 1, 2, Dune 1, 2) at his Darkhorse SDCC exclusive signing. He was kind enough to let me approach their booth (through some corded-off lines) and snap the below photo. Super fun!

Sharing a Table with Beatrice and Jeremiah
After a long day at the Con, I sat down and shared a table with Jeremiah and Bea at the Comic-Con Sails Pavillion. Jeremiah has a YouTube channel with 20k+ subscribers called Fortnite Dubs, and Bea (founder of Nuevo Foundation) moderated a panel at SDCC discussing the science behind Netflix’s Three Body Problem. We had a really great conversation about our Con stories, and many other interesting topics. So great to meet you both!

Live Art and DJ at LUMPIA Factory
To end the night, I headed over to the Lumpia Factory along the Gaslamp. The Lumpia with a Vengeance crew setup a fun event there for people to meet after the Con. And it was a great way to end an epic day. Being Filipino (and now Filipino-American), I really appreciated the warm welcome and friendly faces. It felt like coming home. It was so nice to spend time with them. For me, hanging with the Lumpia crew completes my Comic-Con experience.

Pictured above are Lawrence Iriarte, Diego Iriarte, Gerald Pilar, and Don Agoncillo, and art from the show.
Thank you for following along with my adventures. That’s a wrap for Day 2. . . Onward to Day 3!
