Hello everyone! It’s been a minute since all the fun we had at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) 2024 and I wanted to wrap up our SDCC experience here. I mean Thursday, the first full day, of San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) was epic. The following three days after did not disappoint! But mainly, this post is about all the fun we had leading to, and attending, the SDCC 2024 Hall H panels. And what an adventure it was! So read on as I take you through the rest of our SDCC adventures.
The SDCC 2024 Hall H Plan
Our group dedicated our Friday to line-up for the SDCC 2024 Hall H panels on Saturday. In case you didn’t know, Hall H is where all the huge announcements by Marvel, DC, Amazon Prime, and others are made. To be allowed into SDCC 2024 Hall H on Saturday, our group needed to line up Friday so that we could get wristbands (they would only allow people in Hall H with the proper wristbands). The plan was to line up in shifts. I signed up for the afternoon shift, which left my Friday morning open. I spent that time in the main exhibitor hall until I had to start my shift. See below for some photos from my Friday morning adventures:
Exclusive X-Men Bishop Card Signing with Whilce Portacio
The main event I spent my Friday morning on was the Exclusive Upper Deck X-Men Bishop card giveaway. The event included the creator of Biship himself, Whilce Portacio, signing and personally handing over the card to us lucky participants. I was so happy to have been able to make the signing and meet Whilce again! If you’ve read my previous SDCC 2024 posts, I’m a huge fan of Whilce so this this event meant a lot. So… by this time, he totally recognized me haha.

The Long Line for HALL H Begins
After all the fun with Whilce, I headed behind the convention hall to start my shift for Hall H. It was a long walk, and I definitely got my steps in! It can be useful to know that we were able to line up in shifts this because SDCC 2024 allowed for one person to save a spot in the line for, at most, 2 other people. We made a shared spreadsheet and each one in our group had assigned time slots. SDCC does not kid around with their lines as they even let attendees line up as early as 12 midnight! So we had a day shift and a night shift planned.

Suffice to say, I waited in line for the rest of the afternoon and evening. Although it was a long wait, it was also whole a lotta fun! Because I made some new friends “line buddies” and had a lot of interesting conversations with them. We eventually got a wristbands around 10pm Friday evening, woohoo!

To celebrate, my good buddy Justin and I got some food and drink. We immediately got rest in preparation for our big day the next day.
SDCC 2024 Hall H Saturday Morning
On Saturday, the entire group got up bright and early to enter SDCC 2024 Hall H. Shout out to our SKKAW.BLOG team MVPs Rey and Jo, who took the most shifts and stayed in line overnight to get us our spots. Wow! Those guys are troopers. We 100% couldn’t have had the amazing experience we did without them. Credit goes to them, they really did our group a solid.

Our SDCC 2024 Hall H line buddy group! Special shout out and huge thanks Jo and Rey (2nd and 3rd from left) for sleeping in line overnight to keep our spot in line. You guys rock!
Once we properly got into Hall H, we quickly, without running, looked for good seats. That in itself was a challenge since so many people were already ahead of us, even after some of our group sleeping in line! But we prevailed. We were able to get some seats that were within the center of the Hall and so close to the front row. Here’s a selfie of me for proof. The camera makes it look like it’s super far, but actually we were much closer in real life. Man, it was so worth it.

The happiest Skkaw ever providing living proof of Saturday’s SDCC 2024 Hall H attendance!
There were so many amazing moments, surprises, and announcements from Hall H that day. I believe the best way to share this experience is to through photos from each of the panels. Check them out below to see all the fun from each of the Hall H panels.
CW’s Superman and Lois Cast
The final season for CW’s Superman and Lois was previously announced, and the cast was on hand to give us a sneak peak of the show. It was fun! It was also fun to see the Tyler Hoechlin (Clark Kent / Superman) and Bitsie Tulloch (Lois Lane) on stage share some fun moments with the SDCC crowd.
Keanu Reeves Receives an Inkpot Award

Keanu Reeves receiving his Inkpot Award
A special highlight of the afternoon was Keanu Reeves showing up, and receiving an Inkpot Award. SDCC gives Inkpot awards to individuals for their contributions to the worlds of comics, science fiction/fantasy, film, television, animation, and fandom services. Keanu was visibly suprised, and very grateful for the award. It was a magical moment for us all, including Keanu himself!
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Panel
Star Trek had 4 panels at Hall H that day and they started strong by bringing out cast members from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. On stage, we got to see Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck, with executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers. We got a sneak peak at Season 3 too, and it was super fun!
Star Trek: Lower Decks Panel
One of the funniest panels I’ve ever attended was this one with the Star Trek: Lower Decks cast. On stage was Jack Quaid, Tawny Newsome, Noël Wells and Jerry O’Connell. Also on stage was the creator and executive producer Mike McMahan and executive producer Alex Kurtzman. The fifth and final season for the show will air later this year (2024). Sad to hear this show is ending, but it definitely had a good run.
Star Trek: Section 31 First Look
And the Star Trek team saved the best for last! We got a special sneak peak of Star Trek: Section 31, and we even got a special video message from academy award winning actress Michelle Yeoh. The cast from the show came to talk about their experience, no spoilers of course. Super exciting stuff!
EW’s Bold School
EW brought out some heavy hitters in the entertainment industry share their stories and experiences. On the panel we got Cynthia Addai-Robinson (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Alex Borstein (Family Guy), Claudia Doumit (The Boys), Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek Voyager & Star Trek: Prodigy), and Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary). I was especially excited to see Kate Mulgrew since I’m a huge Voyager fan.
The Penguin Panel
If all the other panels weren’t enough, we also got the cast from The Batman spinoff series “The Penguin” including Colin Farrell (Oz Cobb, aka “The Penguin”) joining via video, Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), and Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar). They also released the official trailer from the show, and wow it was exciting. Lots of dark and brooding feels. Definitely a Batman show!
Marvel SDCC 2024 Hall H Panels
And the moment we were all waiting for . . . The Marvel SDCC 2024 Hall H panels!! And man they did not disappoint! We had one huge show, and it was just phenomenal. Check it out below!
Deadpool & Wolverine Choir

First we got a special serenade from a full Deadpool & Wolverine choir singing Madonna’s “Like a Prayer.” There were even dancing Deadpools running between the crowd. What a way to start the show!
Captain America: Brave New World

Then came cast from Captain America: Brave New World made an appearance on stage. Anthony Mackie was joined on stage by Tim Blake Nelson, Danny Ramirez, and Giancarlo Esposito. Giancarlo Esposito was confirmed to be playing Sidewinder, the leader of the notorious Serpent Society! Also on stage was Kevin Feige. We got a special sneak peak of the movie, and the attendees loved it. Of course, there was a surprise appearance of none other than Harrison Ford himself!

By this time, I along with my fellow attendees, we were all just going wild! I personally never thought I would ever get to see the Harrison Ford in person. Here’s proof, I did:
And here’s a clip of Harrison Ford Hulking out for the SDCC crowd! What a rush, so much fun!
Thunderbolts* Panel

Following the Captain America panel, we got to see the official trailer for the Thunderbolts movie. After the trailer was shown, the entire Thunderbolts* cast came up on stage. And in true Marvel fashion for SDCC, one of the cast members, David Harbour came in full his Red Guardian custom! I was able to get a video of his surprise performance, check it out below:
So funny! Marvel really gave us a show . . . But wait there’s more.
Fantastic Four Preview
Not to be outdone by the previous panels, Marvel showed us another super secret preview this time for Fantastic Four! After showing us the preview, which felt like a retro version of the Fantastic Four straight out of the 1960s comics, the cast came up on stage. This, I believe, was the first time the cast came together in public. I also got to see Pedro Pascal, and me being a huge Mando fan, it’s always great to see “Papa Pedro” – haha!
And to end the panel, a flying replica of the “Fantasticar” flew over the SDCC 2024 Hall H crowd. We were all in awe!
The video above is sped up. But wow. Never would have imagined to see a flying car in SDCC 2024 Hall H. Marvel really came to impress!
Russo Brothers

We then got a surprise appearance by the Russo Brothers, who directed the Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame movies. They said they were happy to be back, and were also tasked to direct a couple more movies for Marvel including some new and special. You have to see it to believe it . . .
RDJ as Doctor Doom!
Yes, we have the return of Robert Downey Jr. to Marvel, but this time as Dr. Doom! Wow, we did not expect this announcement! Check out SKKAW.BLOG’s exclusive video below. Don’t be deterred by the blurry cover image . . . Be sure to watch until the end:
And as you can hear from the video above, we all went wild. What a rush! This definitely was the SDCC Hall H announcement that was so worth being in the room for and worth the wait! Couldn’t express to you how exhilarating and exciting it was to be there in person. We were there when it was announced, so cool!

That’s a Wrap!
My goodness that was an amazing experience, and you can see from our team’s expressions below we had a blast attending Hall H.

And that’s it for our SDCC 2024 coverage. Our team had many more adventures after this one (on Sunday), but Hall H totally took the cake. Truly one for the history books.
