Con Stories: SDCC 2026 Friday

We had so many amazing con experiences on Friday, but one experience stood out from the rest. In our quest to try and reach 1k Instagram followers we decided to giveaway 1 3D printed magnet per 1 follow.

We shared our goal on our con backpack hoping we’d get interest. And it worked!

While in line for some merch in the Petco Park activation, a kind soul went up to me and asked for a magnet. That started a chain reaction throughout the line and we received many more follows and magnet exchanges!

Dungeon Crawler Family

One such exchange was with @rockthebach and @candidcambria (IG):

As shown above, they and their family were wearing epic Dungeon Crawler Carl cosplay! I am a huge Dungeon Crawlee Carl fan, so I was totally ecstatic to meet them. Very happy our magnets allowed for such an experience.

Avatar Airbended Coffee

On our way back to the convention center we bumped into this epic crew:

When we saw their Avatar: The Last Airbender cosplay were compelled to stop and greet them. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that they actually were a specialty coffee company called Lava my Java (IG: @lavamyjavaroasting).

They offered us some free convention exclusive cold brew coffee. How could we resist?

In exchange we offered them some magnets. We traded magnets 🧲 for coffee ☕️. Totally a great SDCC deal. Such a pleasure meeting them, and yes their coffee is delicious.

To take a break from all the magnet trading we headed to the convention center and got our photos taken at the SDCC banner which is a convention tradition.

And that’s a wrap from Friday at SDCC! Stick around as we share the rest of our adventures from the con.
